BEDA is a flexible program run by Catholic Schools of Madrid and Cambridge English Language Assessment, which effectively helps to improve the teaching of English, in coherence with the quality of the rest of learning and the Educational Project and values of our Center.
Thanks to the BEDA program, we can take the prestigious Cambridge exams. These tests are aligned with the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages and have international validity. Students can apply at the following levels:
YLE (Young Learners English Test = level A1) Intended for children up to 12 years old. There are 3 options: starters, movers and flyers.
KET (Key English Test = level A2) It is an elementary exam that evaluates the ability to function in spoken and written English of daily use.
PET (Preliminary English Test = B1) It focuses on written and oral language of intermediate level, oriented to the academic and work environment.
FIRST (First Certificate in English = B2) It is an intermediate-high level certificate that demonstrates the ability to safely face oral and written communication, in professional and technical contexts.
Conversation Assistant
For several years, the figure of the CONVERSATION ASSISTANT It has been implemented and extended in our center, assuming an enormously effective support to the teacher in the improvement of linguistic skills in English and, above all, for the acquisition of confidence and fluency in oral communication strategies by our students, from the 3 years up to 4th of ESO.
For this school year 2022-2023, We have the presence of Dany Sandland (California -USA) our language assistant who will help enhance all these aspects mentioned above.
