Primary Education at Colegio San José is considered as a stage in which the fundamental objective of the educational process is to develop the integral formation of the student to the maximum.
This training includes social, intellectual and psychological aspects, without forgetting the affective aspects so important in children of these ages. We consider it as a fundamentally educational stage, in the broadest sense of the word. During it, children must progressively acquire a solid foundation for further learning.
The acquisition of basic knowledge, and above all of a solid set of skills and abilities, is fundamental for the academic training of children of these ages.
All this is addressed from the development of the curricular program, giving special importance to the learning of instrumental subjects, Language, mathematics and English, together with a personalized follow-up through individualized tutorials and the pedagogical monitoring portal through the internet, PSP.
Because of our own character and our nature as a confessional center, Christian education and the Catholic religion play a fundamental role in our educational and pedagogical style.
Education in values will be promoted, with special reference to education in school, family and social coexistence.
The evaluation of students' learning will be continuous and global and will take into account their progress in all areas of the curriculum.
When the progress of a student is not adequate, educational reinforcement measures will be established. These measures will be adopted as soon as the difficulties are detected and will be aimed at the acquisition of the essential learning to continue the educational process, quickly incorporating the student into the aforementioned programs.
The methodology will always receive a global treatment that adjusts to the peculiarities that each student presents in their learning or development process.
It will always start from an initial evaluation, with the aim of knowing the level of development from which the students start.
We will try to give a globalizing approach that favors the use of different methods depending on the diversity of the students and the strategies to be used.
The San José School is a private concerted center of Infant, Primary and Compulsory Secondary Education that is located in the district of Tetuán of Madrid.
