Coexistence with others is one of the main objectives that the educational community has to assume today, in order to achieve both the well-being of all its members, as well as the personal, social development and the improvement of the school success of the students. That is why, the promotion of this aspect is a transversal axis in our Educational Project and from the earliest ages, it goes through an education in values that will have a planning, development and monitoring from the Tutorial Action Plan.
Coexistence in the centers of our congregation of Hijas de María Madre de la Iglesia It is an important pillar, not only when it comes to structuring school life, but also as an essential part of our way of understanding global education. For us, school is an environment where the student experiences life in society and learns the rules that it demands.
We do not consider cohabitation as a mere application of disciplinary measures. Our approach has a constructive and positive vision, so the actions are aimed at the development of appropriate behaviors to live better and resolve conflicts in an educational way.
We believe that conflict is inherent in people's common life. This is normal in any free and democratic society. Therefore, it should be understood as something positive to develop the educational work and, above all, serve as a means of learning since the search for some solution to the conflict in a dialogic and peaceful way, allows to maintain a good harmony in interpersonal relationships.
We also believe that any measure taken, if it does not have the commitment and participation of all sectors of the community, has a very specific validity. If what we want is to promote changes in attitude and behavior, until they become routine, it is essential that we are all involved in this commitment. Coexistence is therefore, everyone's task.
As a novelty this course, we have designed a complete reception plan with planned actions, which we will implement to facilitate the adaptation of students and / and teachers who join it, promote their proper integration into the new school environment and give them the best educational response.
