HISTORY OF THE SCHOOL

50s

THE 3-10-1954 The school is officially inaugurated, with 120 students. Solemn Mass officiated by D. Andrés Avelino Esteban.

  • Mother Rosario del Río Domínguez is superior and Mother Mª Jesús Romero Rodríguez is director
  • In the course 1959-60 the 1st Examination is carried out at the School to obtain the Certificate of Primary Studies.

60s

  • 1º Reform of the School, the courtyard, the arcades are modified and new classrooms are enabled.
  • Mother Mª Luisa Valderrama Pizarro is superior and Mother Rosario Martínez Muñoz is director.
  • The figure of 338 students is reached, between Primary Education and Baccalaureate.
  • In 1962 The Marchioness of Nervión, president of the Founding Board of Trustees, dies.
  • The first class of Parvulitos is inaugurated.
  • In 1964 the 2nd Reform is carried out: the chapel is expanded, new classrooms, services and toilets are built.
  • Performance of the school rondalla on Spanish television.
  • The figure of 514 students is reached.

70s

  • Official recognition of the College in the Official State Gazette of July 24, 1970.
  • It is extended to the elementary baccalaureate.
  • Mother Petra Tomé Sánchez is Superior and Mother Ángeles Luceño Galán is Director.

80s

  • The first School Council is constituted.
  • The Center becomes Concerted.
  • The 3rd extension of the College is carried out, placing the General Curia in this building
  • Mother Rosario del Río Domínguez is Superior and Mother Rosario Martínez Muñoz and Mother Isabel Herrero Herrero are directors.

The 90s

  • Mother Isabel Herrero Herrero and Mother Teresa Cabrera Cabrera are superiors.
  • Mother Victoria Cortés Marcos is appointed director of the School. The LOGSE begins to be implemented in Early Childhood Education and 1st Cycle of Primary.
  • The 1st Tellista Route is celebrated on the occasion of the 150th anniversary of the birth of Mother Matilde.
  • 4º Reform of extension of the College to adapt to the regulations of the LOGSE.
  • Celebration of the 1st Olympiad of the San José School.
  • Compulsory Secondary Education is introduced.
  • Concession of the concert in Early Childhood Education.

2000s

  • Mother Carmen Fernández Robles is appointed Director of Compulsory Secondary Education, Mother Herminia Menéndez Fuego of Primary Education and Mother Ángeles Sánchez Fernández superior.
  • The 1st promotion of ESO ends.
  • The March 21 Jan 2004 Mother Matilda is beatified in Rome by His Holiness John Paul II.
    In the academic year 2005-06 Mother Carmen Fernández Robles, director of Primary Mother Victoria Cortés Marcos and Secondary Mother Adela Méndez Rodríguez, is appointed head of the center.
  • From the year 2011 Mother Rosa Revellado Prieto joins as titular director. Curricular diversification programs are also implemented in ESO.
  • In the year 2012 Mother María Elena Hernández González joins as Director of Infant and Primary and D. Roberto Carpintero García as Director of Secondary.
  • During the course 2013-2014 the center incorporates the continuous day for E. Infant and E. Primary and celebrates the 60 years of the College.
  • From the academic year 2014-2015 The new LOMCE law in the 1st, 3rd and 5th grades of Primary Education.
  • In the course 2015-2016 The LOMCE to the 2nd, 4th and 6th years of Primary Education and 1st and 3rd of ESO.
  • We arrived at the course 2016-2017 where the LOMCE ends its implementation in ESO covering the 2nd and 4th grades offering in turn, different itineraries for students of this stage. With the motto "Connect and follow in their footsteps" We started full of enthusiasm and good intentions.
  • During the course 2017-2018 with the LOMCE already at full capacity the organizational changes derived from the Chapter of the order of the HMMI held during the month of July are applied. With our new motto "Join the network" We continue on our path faithful to the charism that characterizes us.
  • "Stay, I care about you" will be our motto during the academic year 2018-2019, in which we will begin to implement cooperative learning as an important methodological change at all stages. The Mother Elena Hernandez is destined to Plasencia and the Mother Concepcion Martin Gutierrez assumes the Direction E. Infant and E. Primary.
  • Academic year 2019-2020 presented under the title "Dare to be free" where the Tellista educational community gets down to work in a new school year full of challenges and new proposals for improvement in many areas. We will continue with the implementation of cooperative learning, without neglecting axes as fundamental for us as Pastoral or Coexistence.
  • Academic year 2020-2021 Under the motto "Be your mism@ and shine" We are facing perhaps one of the most complicated courses to date, motivated by the coronavirus crisis and the organizational and health measures taken to ensure everyone's safety.
  • We enter the long-awaited final stretch of the pandemic during the course 2021-2022, with the strong purpose of always being "Accompanying you" on the path of the search for Jesus and Mother Matilda. Great challenges but with the same enthusiasm as always.
  • Course 2022-2023 which begins with the implementation of the new education law LOMLOE in E. Infantil, 1º, 3º and 5º of E. Primary and 1º and 3º ESO. We get down to work with our motto "With you yes, with you always". Go ahead!
  • Course 2023-2024 where the LOMLOE ends its implementation in the paired courses of E.Primaria and ESO. Our motto more of Mother Matilde than ever, invites us to follow FORWARD, ALWAYS FORWARD
  • In the Course 2024-2025, our Management Team undergoes a profound remodeling and we face the challenges of a society that increasingly demands a greater effort from the entire educational community.
